World first floating artificial island

 China has launched the worlds floating artificial island in Shanghai.

This is a project for the countrys science and technology.

The floating research facility was launched in Shanghai on Saturday as reported by CCTV News.

This floating island is called the "Open-Sea Floating Island".

It is a big platform that will help with scientific research in areas like marine equipment, marine resources and marine science.

The facility has three parts: the main platform, laboratories on ships and support from the shore.

The main platform has a design that is called "semi-submersible twin-hull".

This design allows for testing of deep-sea equipment that weighs hundreds of tons.

It will also support research at full-ocean depths of up to 10,000 meters as reported by CCTV News.

The floating artificial island is expected to be finished in 2030,It will be used to test deep-sea mining systems, important marine equipment and offshore oil and gas facilities.

The floating artificial island will help to develop resources learn about the changes in marine ecosystems explore where life comes from and improve the accuracy of typhoon forecasts.

This will help to prevent and prepare for disasters as reported by CCTV News,The project is being done by Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

The university has started an institute that will focus on deep sea science and engineering according to the universitys website,The floating artificial island is a part of this project.

Shanghai Jiao Tong University is working on the floating island to make it a reality,The floating artificial island will be a help for scientific research, in China.
